Top 5 Soapies Of The Week That Left Us Wanting More

Top 5 Soapies Of The Week That Left Us Wanting More:

1.Muvhango

We saw a lot of heat, drama, suspense and passion this week from Muvhango; a show that’s popular for not having kissing or sex scenes. Though the characters of Mpho and Tenda never displayed their feelings on screen, they outstandingly left us coming back for more, which requires a lot of creativity.

We loved the dancing in Tenda’s office, Mpho’s on-off resignation from her job, turning down a dinner date with her husband and their eyes locking.

2.Scandal

Outside scenes are not easy to shoot because of weather conditions, lighting, amongst many things. We saw Quinton’s character holding Stokkies hostage this week and driving down to Eastern Cape to look for the man that killed the woman he loved; Thembeka.

We saw a new Quinton, that was hungry for justice, unpredictable, terrifying and even ‘dangerous’ (crossing fingers that this a temporary set back), because we have more than enough villains on the show.

3.Skeem Saam

The appearance of BigBoy took a toll on fans this week because the actor passed away in real life this April but it reminded us of how talented he was and how much we loved and adored him.

We especially loved the arguments between Mantuli and Big Boy which left us in stitches as usual.

4.The River

When you’ve been in a toxic relationship for a long time, you don’t truly see the damage until you’re in a new relationship. Kelebogile and Ntsizwa’s new relationship demonstrated how insecure and broken Kelebogile has become, due to her previous toxic relationship… We sobbed and wanted to hug her; when she was happy, when she doubted him and when she broke up with him.

5.The Queen

The return of Shaka was everything we ever wanted and hoped it will be; from Harriet’s fainting, Brutus running and the guys (Kagiso and Dingane) realising that the truth is about to be discovered.

Below are some honourable mentions:

Rhythm City

Generations

Gomora

Isibaya

Uzalo
